Amber and her daughter were both diagnosed with Alopecia areata (also known as spot baldness) and her daughter with a 'mystery' (unexplained) skin condition by a physician. She became dissatisfied with the condition of her and her daughter's hair and skin and decided to launch a line of haircare products.

Amber was determined to keep it healthy and chemical-free. She began researching the internal body, the skin, and its functions. Her concern and curiosity about her and her daughter’s conditions intensified her study of the scalp and skin. She soon created products that nourish and address common scalp and skin issues.
